Hi,

Im a Case Manager for Work and Income and I just want to say that we're not all that bad? Yes I know that the system does have its downsides, but alot of people rely on us and it can get pretty da frustrating being lied straight to the face everyday.
Put yourselves in our shoes...

I disagree. I've heard case managers receive bonuses for denying clients their full entitlements by not offering these. As a result people encounter difficulties in meeting their regular expenses even after sensible budgeting. Unfortunately there are dishonest people out there who abuse the system they often do as there would be no other way in hell they could afford to live if winz won't step up and help for instance this person would genuinely need help (and have a disability) but declares themselves single when they actually have a partner who is also struggling they as they have to find a way to contribute to household expenses i.e rent otherwise this expense can not be met. I know of people in this situation and while they hate to be dishonest they have no other choice. what angers me is hearing of people who have received assistance from winz such as them covering a car registration or clothing grants. I am currently pregnant, had to stop work due to several complications. Reluctantly I approached winz. I'm on sickness benefit and don't get enough to pay for my weekly expenses from them yet they refuse to help me out with clothing and furniture requirements. I have had to see them many times since and every time becomes more and more depressing end up getting no where becoz of all the 'procedures' There is a real problem with double standards and service of treatment at winz....

Luke Puhia you are clearly a very angry uneducated conspiracy theorist your whole comment was outrageous and that mere suggestion that the queen of England takes 95% of our taxes is quite frankly ludicrous. I wish you all the best in dealing with your mental health issues.
